Stationery Portfolio

This stationery holder holds 5” x 7” or smaller cards.  It’s great for gift giving, or organizing your own card stash.  Best of all, it uses 12 x 12 cardstock, on sale this month at Cutcardstock.com!

Supplies:
1 sheet 12 x 12 Basis Olive Cardstock
Stamps of your choice ( I chose S1109 Limited Edition by Close to My Heart)
Inks (I used Cocoa, Olive, Autumn Terracotta and Desert Sand by Close to My Heart)
20” ribbon
Red line tape
Other Adhesive
Scoring Board and Bone Folder
Corner Rounder
Sponge
Craft Knife or paper trimmer
Other Embellishments as desired (I used Just Blooms Flutter Paper Shapes by Close to My Heart)

Step One:  Score the Basis Olive cardstock at 7 ½”.  Rotate 90 degrees (so that your first score line is closer to the top) and score at 6”.

Step Two:  Score at 5 ½” and 6 ½” only down to the score line at  5 ½”.

Step Three:  Using a craft knife or paper trimmer, cut along the 5 ½” and 6 ½” score lines.  Cut across the 5 ½” score line, removing the rectangle of cardstock.

Step Four:  Fold both short tabs in towards the center of the cardstock.  These will make the pockets.  Make your folds crisp using the bone folder.  Fold the cardstock at the 6” score line, use bone folder to make a crisp fold.

Step Five:  Round inside corner of each short piece.  Round outside top corners, too.

Step Six:  Sponge desert sand ink on edges of the pockets, and around the outside of the folio.

Step Seven:  Cut ribbon into two 10” lengths.  Using a small bit of red line tape, adhere ribbon end to the inside of the folio, where it will be covered by the pocket.  Repeat on other side, making sure the ribbons are an equal distance from the bottom of the folio.

Step Eight:  Using red line tape just on the outside edge of each smaller flap, fold the flap upward to adhere.

Step Nine:  Cut two 5 ½” x 1” strips from the Curious Metallic Chocolate cardstock.  Adhere to inside of portfolio towards the bottom of each pocket.  Cut one 6” x 1” strip of Curious Metallic Chocolate cardstock.  Adhere towards bottom front of the portfolio.

Step Ten:  Stamp images on Pop Tones Sweet Tooth cardstock, cut out and mat to Curious Metallic Cognac and Gold Leaf cardstocks as desired.  (I like to cut mats ½” larger than the stamped image for a small border).

Step Eleven:  Add embellishments as desired.  Fill with cards.  Viola!  It’s that easy.

This is a fun project that would be easy to mass produce as thank you gifts, shower favors, etc!

Happy Stamping!

Katherine
