For the Mr & Mrs

I just love a versatile cardstock that can be used for everything from Christmas cards to wedding cards! With the great sale on gold and silver cardstock this month, that versatility is the perfect reason to stock up. Today I wanted to show you how I made a wedding card that will be a great way to deliver some cash we're giving to a young couple getting married this weekend.

For this simply elegant card, I used Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock and vellum. I cut and scored the gold cardstock to be a top folding, A2 card. I cut a slightly larger piece of the vellum so that I could emboss it and then cut it to the size I want for my card.

On the front of the card, I decided where I wanted my sentiment. I applied a little powder and then stamped my greeting with Versamark ink. I chose white embossing powder for the heat embossing.

Then, I simply assembled my card. I attached the embossed piece of vellum. The Tombow adhesive runner worked great, and it wasn't visible through the vellum. To finish off the card, I tied a knot on front using white satin ribbon.

Don't miss this chance to stock up with gold and silver cardstocks are on sale. They are great for every season and easily add some bling to your cards and other papercrafting projects!
