Flavours Gourmet Card & Gift Tag

Happy Monday! It's Amber here, and I'm excited to share my latest project with you. I'm using Flavours Gourmet cardstock to create a card and tag set that will be super handy to have on hand in the upcoming season of entertaining and gift giving!

I wanted to use a leaf die, so I cut it out from Savoy Cotton cardstock. This is my favorite cardstock for watercoloring, so I figured it would be great for blending Distress inks. I have a stash of card fronts already cut from this cardstock. Did you know you can buy those directly from CutCardStock.com? If they don't have what you want in precut sizes, you can always take advantage of their custom cutting service for any cardstock you purchase. Awesome!

I am saving the negative because I will definitely use these in future projects. I blended the inks on the leaf cutouts. Lovely!

Then, I cut the same leaf from a card base made from Flavours Gourmet Toasted Nutmeg. I also cut the word "thanks" from Lemon Grass. I worked carefully to inlay all the pieces. (Tip: Make sure you keep all this little shapes from the loops in the letters so you can reassemble the word with the background.)

For the tag, I decided to stack the words. I cut out three sets of the "for you" and adhered them together to make a thick sentiment.

I love how this came together. I can't wait to give it to someone special. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you do something creative today! -Amber
