Hidden Pocket For Your Layouts

Hello!  It is Lisa Lahiff here with you today, and happy Monday!!!  Today I'm mixing things up by sharing another creative way to use your envelopes.  Now you could do this trick with any color envelope you have, but I'm using the Brown Bag A7 Envelopes ( and pssstt - these guys are on sale right now! woot woot! ).  Let's get down to the details shall we...

Since the photos on your layouts are what you want the main focus to be on I started by playing around with layering Acetate Designer Paper from We R Memory Keepers on my envelope along with my photo.  I had a second photo from the same occasion that I didn't want to toss, but I didn't want it front and center either, so by trimming off the top flap of my envelope I now had a pocket to "hide" my other picture in while still preserving the photo! I trimmed a tag from the We R Memory Keepers 12 x 12 Wildflowers Stack, adhered it to the back of my second photo, added some twine and slipped it in. Ta-da!

Next I gathered various papers from the Wildflowers Stack and trimmed/tore them into the sizes I wanted for my layout.

After a little bit of arranging I started to put my layout together.

Once all of the papers were down it was time to embellish, and test out my new photo pocket!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I hope I've inspired you to look at your envelopes in a whole new light!
Happy Crafting!
Lisa
