Christmas always seems to sneak up on me while I'm happily enjoying pumpkin-everything, so this year I'm making a real effort to stay on top of my handmade Christmas cards.  This easy card mixes vintage images with bright and beautiful cardstocks on sale this month in the CutCardStock store.

Stamp the vintage reindeer image and sentiment onto the smaller Neenah Classic Crest panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and color with alcohol-based markers.


Emboss the Wild Cherry panel with a snowflake embossing folder.  (Pop-Tone Cardstocks work great with embossing folders!)


To bring out the pattern even more, I lightly added white pigment ink to the embossed panel with a foam ink blending tool.  (A white shimmer ink would look beautiful here too!)


Adhere the green mats to both layers with tape runner and then adhere the large matted red panel to the folded card base.



To add a little interest, I tied some pretty plaid Christmas ribbon around two ends of the focal image panel.


Pop the panel up on top of the card base with foam tabs and you have a simple and pretty Christmas card...one down and lots more to go!
