Holiday Countdown Series, Day 1

We are so excited to be kicking off this year's Holiday Countdown Series! Over the next several days you'll be inspired by our Design Team with projects to help make this season special.

I'm sharing one of my favorite little holiday projects to make and have on hand. There are friends that may stop by or we may go visit during the season... we may not exchange gifts with them, but I like to have a little something to share. For me, having a few bottles of wine on hand with some lovely handmade tags is perfect!

I started by cutting the base of the tag with a die from Neenah Solar White cardstock, but if you don't have die you could easily cut this out by hand.

I tend to make small projects like this in multiples. It doesn't take much longer to create three at the same time, and then I have a stash of them ready for spur of the moment occasions!

After I die cut the base, I stamped them with a stripe background and red ink.  I also cut the top portion of the tag again using Pop Tones Wild Cherry cardstock. I attached the red topper with Mono Multi Liquid adhesive.

Then, I went to work on the sentiment. I stamped it using my a stamp platform to help me align it just right.  Grid paper in the background really helps me get things centered and straight!

I assembled the piece that will attach to the front of the hanging tag. I thought a little bling is always a good idea, and then added a little interest with just a strip of the same Wild Cherry cardstock.

Then I put them all together, and it was so easy to assemble the few pieces into the finished tag!  With a little more Mono Multi and some foam squares, I had my tags ready to go in a manner of minutes.

Here you can see how nice it looks on a bottle of wine. It would look just as great on a bottle of sparkling cider, or even a classic soda in a glass bottle - whatever you like to give to your friends!

We hope you'll stop by each day between now and December 1 to see all the inspiration from our Design Team. May your holidays be filled with love and craftiness -Amber
