Celebrating All Mom's

Mother's Day is fast approaching and we all need cards for the mom's in our lives. Whether it's your mom, your grandmother, or a friend that needs encouragement because she's facing challenges as a mom herself. It's also great to send a card to someone who has always been like a mom to you. So, let's create some Mother's Day cards!

For this card, I did partial die-cutting. I started by stamping the image on Class Crest Card Stock 80lb. in Bright White.  This stamp set has layers so you can stamp in different colors to get some shading. When I finished stamping, I positioned the coordinating die over the stamped image and taped it at the edge of the bottom cutting plate. Then I positioned the top cutting plate to line up with the bottom one and ran the die through my machine.

There were several areas that didn't cut, so I made manual cuts with a crafting knife.

I created a second set of stamped flowers and cut that out completely. I cut this set apart to add additional flowers above the partial die-cut. I also popped up the middle flowers with the second set to add dimension.

For additional shading and to fill in areas I didn't stamp completely, I used several Prismacolor Pencils. I added some POW Glitter Paper in Gold behind the flowers. Then adhered the entire panel to a Pre-creased A7 (5x7) Cougar Invitation in White

To complete the card, I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment. Added Nuvo Jewel Drops in Orange Marmalade to the center of each flower. Then I stamped the floral outline image on the envelop.

Until next time. . . . inky hugs!!
